The Boerboel is an impressive race. To describe the dog in just a few lines isn't easy, but we will try to mention its most
important characteristics:
GENERAL APPEARANCE OF THE BOERBOEL:  The Boerboel is a strong and well-balanced shorthaired dog. The power and efficiency he
displays gives him an impressive appearance.
The recognised colours are all shades of yellow, brown or brindle.
A lot of people are impressed by the appearance of the Boerboel. The shoulder-height for a
male dog lies between 64 and 70 cm - for a female dog, this varies between 59 and 64 cm.TEMPERAMENT AND CHARACTER OF THE BOERBOEL: The Boerboel is a domesticated guard- and family-dog with the following main properties: steadfast reliable and balanced nature obediant intelligentThe Boerboel has a very strong guarding instinct, even young dogs will show this. The Boerboel will build a strong bound with familymembers and children. Furthermore, he must be self-confident and fearless. Uncontrollably aggressive and fearful Boerboels are unacceptable. |
